Roleplay Server Rules

General Rules

Using cheats, hacks or abusing glitches will lead to a permanent ban.
Do not reconnect, suicide, change job or do anything else to avoid any roleplay situation.
Do not insult anyone in OOC.
Scamming is not allowed and can lead to a ban.
Do not steal items which other players have dropped to carry out a trade/sell.
If you see someone breaking the rules, try to warn them or contact an admin. Do not take the situation into your own hands. This is called backseat administrating.
Follow FearRP. You can't attack a person who has a gun (or tazer) pointed at you, while you are unarmed, you must roleplay being afraid of the gun. Same counts if you are being handcuffed from behind.
No racism, sexism, discrimination or hate speech.
No extremist names such as: "Adolf Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Joseph Stalin" or derivatives.
Do not use extremist symbols such as swastikas or hammers and sickles.
Use a proper rpname ( /rpname firstname secondname ) No rpnames like ElitexxSniperxx#Swag
You cannot kill people for robbing the bank just for the money. Only the government/bank staff and hired security guards can protect the bank.

Tools/Props Rules

Do not propkill yourself or others.
Do not proppush at all.
Do not propblock anything, there should be a keypad or button to reach the area/items.
Do not propsurf yourself or others.
It's not allowed to make traps, constructions that kill people.
Do not abuse your physgun, toolgun, props or any of the tools.
All your constructions must be supported. This means no floating constructions.
Do not spawn props during a combat situation such as barricades for defence.
Do not use tool/prop glitches as an advantage against raiders.
Do not use the x-ray glitch with props which you can shoot through. (fences, etc).

OOC and IC Rules

Do not Metagame, that means don't talk about  in OOC.
"(OOC) Help me cops, someone is raiding me!" or "(OOC) mcswag has printers in his apartment, cops come"
also looking at FBI's/DEA's job to see that they're a spy is also meta-game.
Follow NLR (New Life Rule). If you die, you forget everything from the "past life". You cannot go back to the place you died in the past life for at least 5 minutes and you can't revenge kill the person who killed you.
Don't kill people randomly (RDM).
Don't kill players because of their job or their clan.
You may only speak another language in chat or mic if someone else knows the language you are speaking.
Do not have private conversations in the OOC, for that use the /pm command.
Do not spam /advert, you must wait at least 1 minute before advertising again.
Use /advert appropriately.
Do not use OOC to call an admin. Use the @ command.
Do not swear, argue or insult in OOC. Don't write caps-locked messages.

Door Rules

Do not build more than 2 custom doors which are not public in a row. Your friend's doors are counted as well.
When you build custom doors use the fading door tool and place keypads and/or buttons on both sides.
Keypads or buttons needs to be visible, accessible and their function has to be clear.
Custom doors have to be open 3 seconds or longer, you must also use the keypad you placed instead of the numpad on your keyboard.
Between 2 doors, there should be space for at least 2 persons standing side by side.

Job Rules

When you go AFK for more than 5 minutes you must switch to citizen/hobo.
You must roleplay your job, for example when you are medic, don't go around raiding.
When you are citizen you can have a custom job, but not any jobs which include any rule breaking.
Don't change jobs and buy what you need and change to another job. (SelfSupply).
You cannot raid as a Doctor, Bartender, Gundealer, Black Market Dealer, Banker, Banker Security or Security guard. For any of these jobs you cannot base with rebels or any other group of specific people.
Only Thief/ProThief/Rebel/RebelLeader/Mercenary(If you hired) can raid.
Hitmen can break into homes to assassinate someone


Hostage Rules

Do not run away from gunpoint this is breaking FearRP.
Do not disconnect to avoid being hostage.
If you absolutely need to leave for irl reasons, you must pay the ransom
The maximum you can ask for the release of a hostage is $5000
Once the hostage has gave you your demands you must release him/her.
Once you have taken a hostage you must look after them until they have accepted your demands.
Don't hostage players randomly.
You may not hostage people in the streets, you may hostage people close outside your base, but only if you have a decent reason for it.

Government Rules

Do not buy printers or anything illegal. This can get you banned from all government jobs.
Do not randomly search houses for printers.
Do not steal cars when you are working for the government, you may impound them to later be be given back to the person for a fee.
If you are a government official, and you receive word of a hostage situation, do not run straight in and shoot randomly.
You may build a roadblock while being police with permission from the president. You may use frozen props too, but players must be able to break trough the barricade with a car.

Mayor Rules

As Mayor you have to follow the server rules, for example you can't say that NLR breaking and RDM are allowed.
The Mayor must answer warrants. You can either accept or deny them.
Do not warrant players without a RP reason.
Do not initiate a lockdown without a RP reason.
Do not spam broadcasts wait at least 1 minute before broadcasting again.
You cannot make any sex/race/jobs illegal.
You can ban hobos/rebels/groups from the streets though.
You can ban hats/clothes. (If your a dictator)

Police Rules

If you're a police officer/sheriff do not kill any other government member.
Don't be an undercover police officer/sergeant that is working for rebels to kill the President.
NLR does count unless you are ordered to report back to the PD.
You can be corrupt, but you can only do bribes and send information to rebels/criminals etc.
You cannot kill government members as corrupt cop.

Medic/Doctor Rules

The medic are not allowed to heal sides during a gun fight or raid.
You cannot work for rebels/mafia or anyone. You heal everyone.

Rebels/Gang Rules

When you are in a gang, you still can't kill a person without a RP reason.
When you are in the same team, don't kill your team members and don't steal from them.
Different teams are created for a reason do not join other teams, for example rebels don't join mafia.
Just because you're in a underground team doesn't give you the right to raid or do anything you please.
Do not raid the president just to earn money or because you don't like speed limits, get good reasons first. Even then, violence must always be a last resort.
Do not base at spawn points. This causes NLR breakage.
Follow the role-play canon of your job. Rebels are poor and cannot afford expensive cars or bases.

Base rules

Walls used to surround a base can't be higher than around 4 meters (2 x player height)
Bases must fit the roleplay of the situation, for example poor rebels cannot afford high-tech bases.
Bases must abide with the 'Door Rules' section.
Barricades cannot be made so it is impossible for attackers to shoot you.
Don't use fading door tool to fade a prop away to shoot.
All buildings in the main city street and all obvious shops are reserved for passive RP. Do not base here.
Props where only 1 side is textured are only allowed to be used as a window. Using these props for an advantage in shooting is not allowed.
Doom forts are not allowed. This means you cannot make it hard for the opposing force to raid you. (ex: mazes, having to crouch or jump over props, small firing holes.)
Do not use the x-ray glitch or any tool glitch to get the upper hand against raiders, breaking this rule can lead to a permanent or extremely long ban.

Street crime rules

You may only commit street crime in realistic areas (ie. The slums or the Industrial district - anywhere which is far from the government).
Remember - criminals do not want to get caught. Do not commit crime in plain sight or under the eyes of multiple witnesses or even police officers.
Just because you are a criminal you can not RDM, random raid or break other rules.
Do not steal, rob, extort etc. without a valid RP reason.
When demanding sums of money from robberies and muggins, demand realistically ($500 maximum).
You may not mug the same person within 60 minutes.
You may steal vehicles to sell them back to the owners or other parties only with valid RP reasons.
When selling a stolen car, you must ensure your buyer is aware of it. Make sure that the person understands, this vehicle won't be his to unlock or store in the garage.
Do not FailRP. If you are a criminal you do not wear suits or drive expensive cars. Car-thieves need chop-shops, burglars need places to store their stolen goods too. Proper background RP draws the line between Criminal RP and general minging which can get you banned.
